Miller of Broad and Cassel; and immediate past president, James Shapiro. Monte Starr Jeffrey A. Miller NORMAN STANLEY JACOBS Norman S. Jacobs of Winter Garden, passed away on Tues- day, Oct. 29, 2013, at Florida Hospital, Orlando. He was 82 years old. Mr. Jacobs was born in Newark, N.J., on Jan. 23, 1931, to the late David Craig and Esther Greenstein Jacobs. He attended area schools and served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Jacobs was an entrepreneur and owned and operated vari- ous retail stores. On March 14, 1954, in Bradley Beach, N.J., he mar- ried Eileen Z. Starr, his wife of almost 60 years, who sur- vives him. Mr. Jacobs is also survived by his son David of Longwood; daughters, Karen (Richard) Grove of New Smyrna Beach, Shari (Craig) Bryan of Alabama, and Heidi Jacobs of Winter Garden; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his grandson Evan Grove. A memorial service was held at Beth Shalom Memo- rial Chapel with Rabbi Robert Lefkowitz officiating. Sudoku (see page 14 for solution SUDOKU Answers from SHIRLEY R. LICHTEN Shirley R. Lichten of Long- wood, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, at the Village on the Green Health Center. She was 101 years old. Born in New York City on March 14, 1912, to the late Joseph and Jessie Goldstein Epstein, Mrs. Lichten was an accomplished self-taught artist for more than a half century. She and her husband, Leo, who survives her, relocated to the Orlando area from Philadelphia in 1960, and became active members of the Congregation of Reform Judaism, the CRJ Seniors and Hadassah. Graveside services were held at Congregation of Reform Judaism Cem- etery with Rabbi Steven W. Engle and Cantor Jacqueline Rawiszer officiating. She was 44 years old. An Orlando native, she was born on May 4, 1969, to the late Sidney and Gloria Halpern Wallach. She attended local area schools and was a hair stylist. Ms. McFall is survived by her fianc Michael Wilson; sons, Simon Wilson and Charles McFall; and daugh- ter, Sarah McFall. BARNETT PRAGER Barnett "Barry" Prager of Apopka, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at Hospice of the Comforter, Altamonte Springs. He was 81 years old. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Feb. 17, 1932, to the late Morris and Ida Gurkin Prager. After serving in the U.S. Army, Mr. Prager returned to New York and began his career as an insurance broker. He met and married Anita, his wife who survives him. In 1988, they relocated to the Orlando area and became members of Congregation of Reform Judaism. Graveside services were held at Congregation of Re- form Judaism Cemetery with Rabbi Steven Engel and Can- tor Jacqueline Rawiszer offi- ciating.
