Sept. 26 gom Kippur Service, 9:30 a.m.; Candlelighting At least two candles should be lit, representing the dual com- mandments to re ember and to keep the Sabbath, The candles are traditionally lit by the woman of the household. After lighg ing, she Waves her hands over the candles, welcoming in the Sabbath or yom tov.
