August 15. !980 JCC Members to Help Channel 24 Membership Nearly a dozen Jewish Community Center members will heJp Orlando&apos;s public television station -- WMFE- TV, Channel 24 ,-- kick off their annual membership drive on Mon., Aug. 18, by manning the telephones that evening. Co-host for the opening membership evening will be veteran broadcast specialist Alan Rock, who is the JCC's adult activities vice-president. Among those taking phone memberships will be Bill .Kahn, Barbara Haberman, Hedy and Yumi Schleiffer, Samuel Meitin, Moshe Elbaz, Vici Rock, Charles Gamson and Ann and Bob Lieberman. Hadassah Offers Hospital Plan To Members Due to the nationwide success of Hadassah's first policy offering, a $1 million Excess Major Medical Plan, Orlando Hadassah members and their families are being offered a second plan, the Hospital Income Plan. Like the first policy, the Hospital Income Plan is a special service to Hadassah members, families and associates with noage limits. It is also a "guaranteed acceptance" plan, which means that there are no health qualifications and no questions asked. Howardene is an assistant Public Defender in Fort Pierce and Austin is an assistant Public Defender in Stuart, Fla. They both graduated from the University of Florida Law School. Family and friends will gather from all parts of the country to be in attendance, including Austin's grandmother, Mrs. Vicky Maslanik of New York; Howardene' s sisters, Gloria and Leslie Garrett of Atlanta, Ga.; Austin's sisters, Loretta, who will come home from Gainesville, and Hilary, who will come home from Jacksonville, for the wedding.
