Son, LES ROSEN- BLATT, age 17, will be graduating from Maynard Evans High School on Friday evening, June 13. He will be leaving for Israel on June 24 with DAVID SCHWARTZ, son of ARLENE and MURRAY SCHWARTZ, with the B'nai B'rith Youth, for six weeks of touring and working on a kibbutz. Les is past president of The Rebels Chapter of AZA and past president of the North Florida Council of AZA. He plans to enter Sante Fe Junior College, Gainesville, in the fall. Daughter, SUSIE ROSEN- BLATT, age 16, is leaving for Israel with USY on June 30 for six weeks, also. She is president of USY at Congr. Ohev Shalom as well as advisor to their young Kadima group. When she returns to the USA she will go to Camp Blue Star in North Carolina, for leadership training and then will enter 12th grade at Maynard Evans High School in the fall. No doubt Les and Susie will cross paths while in Israel. Will it be quiet and lonely in the Rosenblatt house? Not really ... Son, SETH ROSEN- BLATT, age 7, will be attending Camp Heronwood and the Soccer Clinic at Rollins, but he'll still be home with mom and dad in the evening to keep things verrry lively! MARLENE and MARV SIROTA of Winter Park are very proud of their son, JEFF. Jeff is a senior at Winter Park High School and a member of the wrestling team. He just earned the Orlando Amateur Award for being the outstanding amateur wrestler of the year for Orlando! He also placed second for the entire state of Florida! Jeff plans to compete in the National Federation Wrestling Championships in Iowa City, Iowa, on August I. That's pretty far from his home in Winter Park, but it's just a "'stone's throw" compared to Aomori, Japan. Jeff has been invited to train with the Japanese Wrestling Team in Aomori and will be leaving us to spend a whole year in Japan. Sayonara Sirotasan! BARRY BAUMGARTEN Speaking of faraway places ... It's truly a small world, after all! SYLVIA and ABE HERSH- BEIN just returned from a two- week visit to England. They spent one week in London and one week touring the lovely English countryside. While on the tour bus, Sylvia was reunited with two friends from her past, sisters, one from Cleveland, Ohio, the other from North Carolina, who had attended Public School 46 in the Bronx, N.Y., with her. They reminisced about teachers and such. Also, Sylvia met a coupleon the bus who are very close friends of CRAIG and MARJI LeKACH, formerly MARJI SULMAN, of Orlando. The most outstanding memory ot [he trip for Sylvia and Abe was the special, warm reception they received from ALEC and HATTIE WARD of Middlesex, England. Although they had never met and only knew of each other through cousins, the Wards welcomed them like family and hosted a lovely Shabbat dinner for them in their home, inviting friends to greet them and much more. Proud wife, Rhona, had the pleasure of seeing husband, ELLIOTT ZERIVITZ, installed as President of the Jewish Federation of Greater Orlando. Proud mother and dad, Rhona and Elliott, celebrated the fact that their son, KENN ZERIVITZ, graduated from John Hopkins University in Baltimore. Md. BARRY S. BAUMGARTEN, son of MR. and MRS. E. M. BAUMGARTEN, of Orlando, graduated fl'om the University of Houston Law School on May I0. receiving the Degree of Doctor of Jurisprudence. Barry will be sitting for both the Texas and Florida Bar Examinations. Congratulations to SANDY OSER on her nomination as a National Board Member of Women's League for Conservative Judaism for the 1980-82 term. Sandy is the wife of DR. HOWARD OSER. Congratulations to GERI ROSE SIEGEL. daughter of JOYCE and DAVID SIEGEL of Satellite Beach. Geri won an award for effort and achievement in Aleph at Temple Beth Sholom Religious School in Satellite Beach. The Siegels are formerly from Winter Park. LEE ANN and NORMAN CARNOW are proud of their Son, ADAM. who was just elected president of the Student Council at Maitland Junior High School. MARK FEINBERG, son of MERLE and LOUIS FEIN- BERG, and brother of TOBI, DAVID and ANDREW FEIN- BERG is a graduating senior at Edgewater High School.. He was just elected "Most School Spirit." Mark has a great personality on his job, as well. He's the friendliest fella you're likely to meet anywhere! Congratulations to new aunt for the first time, MERLE HERMAN. Her sister and brother-in-law, CAROL and LENNY LEA of New York City, produced a nephew for her. He is DAVID LAWRENCE LEA, born on May 2], weighing 9 tbs. 8 oz. David's grandparents are MILLIE and JACK BALDWIN of Boynton Beach and VIRGINIA LEA of Ft. Lauderdale. Merle took her son, Philip, age 20 months, to New York to meet his new cousin and left daughter, JENNIFER, age 6, behind to take care of her daddy, STEPHEN. Congratulations to DORO- THY and SY GOLUB on the Bar Mitzvah of their son STEPHEN'GOLUB on May 30-31 at Temple Israel. Stephen made his parents very proud. Dorothy is a lady of many talents as most of you know, with many community involvements. An art for catering should be added to those talents. Dorothy not only designed the most beautiful and unusual Bar Mitzvah Cake for her son, but. with the help of some very talented friends, she made the most lovely kiddush luncheon. CORRINE and NAT ESKOW have been enjoying very special company lately. Just recently, daughter, HELENE KENNEDY. came in from her home in Dallas. Tex., to be with her parents through the trying time of Nat's surgery. She brought love and regards from her husband, ROBERT KENNEDY, and Corrine and Nat's grand- children. SANDY and JOEY. KAREN and JACK and great- granddaughter. KELLY ANN, I /2-years-old. Nat is recouperating nicely and Corrine is doing well in spite of her bout with serious illness in the past. Now that Helene has gone back to Dallas. Corrine and Nat's son, DANNY ESKOW, has arrived to be with his parents. Danny and wife, NADENE, live in Portland, Oregon. where Danny is a high school teacher. They have a son. STEVEN and a daughter, DEBBIE. While Danny is here, Nat will celebrate his 68th birthday on June 23. Danny plans to take his mom and dad out for a dinner celebration. Also, Nat's sisters. FLORENCE LEVIN- SON and BAILI SINCLAIRE will come in from Lakeland. Corrine is a past president of the local chapter of B'nai B'rith Women and past president of the State of Florida B'nai B'rith Women. Nat was president of the local B'nai B'rith lodge and treasurer at the state level for three years as well as vice HERITAGE. Florida Jewish News. June 13. 1980. Besides all these activities, Nat entertained, told jokes and was master of ceremonies of various shows here in Orlando in the past. It seems Danny takes after his dad. Danny graduated from Edgewater High School with the title "Best Actor" and had done various Orlando Little Theatre performances when he lived here in town. JUDY FRADEN, with son, STEVEN, 13-years-old, and daughter, LORI BETH. age I 0, took a trip to Birmingham, Ala.. to attend the Bat Mitzvah of AMY WEINER, daughter of IRIS and JULES WEINER. The Weiners are former Orlandoans, who moved to Alabama three years ago. The Bat Mitzvah was held on May 23 at Temple Beth El, where Iris is president of Sisterhood. Also attending from Florida SUSIE ROSENBLA TT JEFF SIROTA were Amy's grandparents, LEE and HARRY WEINER of Altamonte Springs. The Fradens had a wonderful time visiting with Amy. Iris. Judy says she was able to attend the Bat Mitzvah thanks to her youngest daughter.
