Page 6, HERITAGE, Florida Jewish News, April 25, 1980 Fashion Show Fever Hits JCC Teens Twelve teenage girls will experience the much talked about "glamour of the model world" this Sun., Apr. 27, when they walk down the aisle at Burdine's dressed in the latest fashions. The girls were selected by a drawing at the second of a two-session class on haircare, make-up and modeling techniques held this month at the Jewish Community Center. Evie Gray and Victor Allen of Jacobson's Longwood Beauty Salon, who conducted the first class on hair care and styling, will style each girls' hair before fashion show. Sarilee Grossman instructed modeling techniques while Kathy Truong talked about make-up at the second session. The fashion show will be held from 2-4 Burdine's community room at Fashion Sc Refreshments and entertainment will also be the afternoon. Guests, friends and family Admission is $2 per person. Let's meet the models. Cookie Ackerbaum Cookie is the daughter of Dr. Ronald and Viviane Ackerbaum of Maitland. She is 1 3!& years-old and is an eighth grader at Milwee Middle School. She is president of Congr. Ohev Shalom Kadima group and a member of the all-state chorus. Her interests include modeling, singing, acting, dancing, music and playing the piano. Career-wise Cookie has expressed a desire to go into acting or modeling. She has two sisters, Linda, 1 I. and Joyce, eight. Pam Corey Fourteen-year-old Pam, daugtter of Fred and Harriet Corey of Orlando, is an eighth grader at Teague Middle School where she is president of the Student Council, a member of the chorus and actor in the eighth grade play. She enjoys reading and drama. Pam wants to be a child psychologist and will serve as an intern at Shands Medical Center in Gainesville during the summer. She has one sister, Maria, 17, and two dogs. Rachel Goldberg A seventh grader at Trinity Prep, Rachel is the daughter of Dr. Melvin and Maxine Goldberg of Altamonte Springs. She is 12- years-old and enjoys collecting miniatures, stamps and stuffed animals. She also likes to read and bike ride. She is secretary of JCY- CHAI and has a 14-year-old brother David. / \\; Dorothy Lerman The daughter of Harvey Lerman of Maitland, Doroth grader at Maitland Junior Hic she is a member of the speech ( year-old guitarist enjoys public speaking, dancing member of Congr. Ohev group and has an older sister Dorothy wants to be a guitar performer as well as a son Tami Morrell Tarni is the daughter of Laurence and Ellen Morrell of Maitland. She is 1 3-years-old and an eighth grader at Milwee Middle School. Her interests include pottery, stamp collecting, swimming', bike-riding and travelling. Tami wants to persue a career in broadcast journalism. She has two younger sisters, Dana, nine, and Suzanne, 12. Sherri Richman Thirteen-year-old Sherri, dau Laurence and Rochelle is an eighth grader at Milwee Middle I Her hobbies include tennis and Sherri wants to be an has a younger brother Michael 8, :i Stacy, 1 1, Lisa Haberman Lisa, 14, is the daughter of Julius and Barbara Haberman of Casselberry. She is in the eighth grade at Tuskawilla Middle School and attends Hebrew High School. She is a member of Congr. Ohev Shalom's Kadima group and enjoys swimming, reading and drawing. She has two sisters, Sherri, ] 5, and Stacy, 12, and eight-year-old brother Robb. Anne Rock Anne, 14, is the daughter of Alan and Vici Rock of Orlando. She is in the ninth gr.ade at Lake Howell Senior School. She plays the flute and enjoys art and poetry. "Jenny" as some people call her, is family-oriented and expressed interest in a career as mother and housewife. She has a younger brother, nine- year-old Benny, and three dogs. Marci Hirshman Marci is a ninth grader at Lyman High School and the daughter of Paul and Judy Hirshman of Longwood. She is 14-years-old and enjoys swimming, dancing, rollerskating and modeling. Marci is a member of Congr. Ohev Shalom's USY and the JCY-9. She has one sister, Kim, 11-years-old: Jennifer Sigman Jennifer will be 14-years-old next week and is an eighth grader at Milwee Middle School. She is the daughter of Robert and Shelia Sigman of Altamonte Springs. Her hobbies include sewing, reading, waterskiing, swimming and handicrafts. She has a younger sister, Lauren, 11, and older brother Phillip, 15. Sara Karen Sara, daughter of Charles and Eleanor Karen of Maitland, moved to the United States with her family five years ago from England. She is 14-years-old and attends Maitland Junior High School where she is a member of the Pep Club. She has expressed a career interest in modeling. Sara has one sister Rachel, 16, and one brother David, 18. Data Toll Da ra is a seventh grader at Maitland Junior High School where she is in the gifted program and a member ofthePep Club. She is the daughter of Gordon and Judi Toll of Maitland. She is 12-years-old and enjoys reading, tennis and shopping. She has one brother, Jason, 10.
