Escorted by Rabbi Steven Engel and Cantor Jacqueline Rawiszer, the stu- dents sang, played musical instruments and visited with residents in the living room of Savannah Court/Cove. The Jewish Pavilion keeps elderly long-term care resi- dents connected with the Jewish community, and this event was typical of what the Pavilion provides every day across Central Florida. For more information or to volunteer, call 407-678-9363. The Jewish Pavilion is a con- stituent agency of the Jewish Federation of Greater Orlando. An intergenerational gathering between long-term care residents and children from Congregation of Reform Judaism was provided by the Jewish Pavilion in March. The Kinneret Council on Aging sponsored their annual Passover Seder for residents and their guests on Thurs- day, April 9 in the Delaney Dining Room at Kinneret Apartments. Over 80 residents and their guests enjoyed a Seder meal prepared by Kinneret's chef, George DaPonte. Morris Rashy, who conducts Kinner- et's weekly Shabbat service, led the Seder. He was joined by his wife Sheila, daughter Arlene, son Dan, daughter- in-law Kris and grandchildren Michael and Shayna. The Kinneret Apartments are the Jewish community's twin residence towers for low income senior citizens lo- cated in downtown Orlando. The Kinneret Council on Aging (KCOA) is a non-profit agency that subsidizes a nu- tritious meal program avail- able to residents and other life enhancing programs.
