Page 12, HERITAGE, Florida JAYNE AND ALAN DRUCKER of Orla'do, certainly are proud c. heir daughter ROBIN who was just initiated into the honor society at Edgewater High School. Robin is also the number one player on the girls tennis team and will represent Edgewater High in city-wide competition. And just to make sure that Robin doesn't have a minute of spare time, she's just been appointed editor of the class yearbook. With summer aproaching the of Robin's ROBIN DRUClgER will just intensify. She will spend her vacation on a Junior European Tennis Circuit in which she will play in Scandinavian countries and visit famed Wimbledon. We'll be anxious to hear from her when she returns. Robin's sister, DONNA and her husband BRUCE RAPP will return to Orlando for a visit. This time as they leave Syracuse they will bring a special package with week old ERICA. Grandma Jayne and Grandpa Alan are just thrilled to have Jewhdt News, April 13, 1979 Call Linda Amon: 645-3849 them here for the holidays. Unbeknown to most of us, there are some dedicated people in this community (who will remain anonymous). Twenty-four men and women recently took the day off work to solicit for the CJA campaign and raised a whopping $25,000 from people who never before gave. Thanks go to JIM SHIPLEY and SUNNY/vjIDELL who's leadership in this campaign has been very fruitful. One person who we'd like to thank is LEONARD SEBRINGS (a retired federation director) who is a newcomer to the Orlando area and who devoted three days to this recent undertakina. As usual the JCC preschool Passover play was delightful. Every year the three-year-old classes act out the story of our deliverance from the land of Egypt. And as usual, no one (not even the teachers) can predict the outcome. Some highlights of this yers play included SHUII ELBAZ's X- rated bath down by the Nile and the inclusion of yet another plague - "Center Director'' as portrayed by none other than ERIC DOROTHY MORRELI 8 DAYS San Francisco/Las Vegas .... =425 San Francisco .............. s465 San Francisco/New 0deans - s475 Includes: R0undtrip airfare from Miami, Deluxe Hotels, City tours CALL DOTTLE today for MORE INFORMATION INTER_NATIONAL TRAVEL AGENCY 849-6550 3! 0 E. "Fast talking, gregarious" KEN SHEINKOPF has once again been selected (as if he had any choice) to be auctioneer at the JCC auction to be held this Saturday night. Naturally he's i ..... Don't miss the fun! While we all anticipate school closing for the summer with mixed reactions (depending on if you're a parent or a student), SHIELA WELSHER (both parent and To Discuss High School In Israel Rabbi Kipper of the High School in Israel program will speak to all interested students and their parents in the Orlando area, on Wed., Apr. 25, 8 p.m., at Congr. of Liberal Judaism. The program consists of eight weeks at Beit Berl college campus, ]5 miles northeast of Tel Aviv and focuses on history of Israel and study of the country's student) is looking forward to a break from school as the semester at Valencia Community College comes to a close for her this week. Shiela's major is education with a minor in carpools and schedule schuffling. Here's hoping she'll find some time for herself so that she'll be rejuvenated to start all over again next semester! From the "believe it or not" department: the JCC pool, fondly nicknamed, "the pond" by Center employees will be sparkling and swimmable on April 21, its opening date! Pool experts assure our experts that "we'll love it" once its drained, repaired and refilled (in addition to some important chemical balancing). So get thoise bikinis or whatever ready in the event that all the experts are right! Disney World is always a nice way to spend an afternoon but its especially nice when you're in nice company. The nice company was provided by SUE BIERMAN and ADELE RING, representatives of the Jewish Federation and Women's American aRT as they accompanied the other half of the nice company, MAYOR SHLOMO LAHAT, his wife, ZIVA, and their 14-year-old son AVNIR through the magical world of Disney. It was somehow comforting to know that parents and teenagers seem to have universal similarities in their relationships. And from the "you won't believe it" department, the Jewish community is getting ready for another Rummage Sale. It seems as if every organization and every synagogue and even the JCC has had at least one this year. But on May 6 the JCC will have what is called a "Giant Rummage Sale." So, if you could find some rummage around your house (you know the stuff you bought at all the other rummage sales), just bring it on down and let the JCC sell it. Many moons ago HOWIE and PEARL LEFKOWlTZ met at camp and later married on March 23, 1969. And so when their friends realized the upcoming 10th anniversary, they plotted to reunite them to their alma mater - campsites! It all started innocently enough with cocktails, but when they were coercd into donning Togas before they could keep their dinner reservations, they knew they were in trouble, Their friends, in normal attire, entered the posh restaurant, then there was Howie and Pearl. Right after dessert which was a beautiful wedding cake, stage two of the evenings plan went into effect. Panic set in as they were blindfolded and driven to a campsite in they were the number their for the With no only in togas, were wild ideas, but spend the stars."
