HERITAGE, Florida Jewish News, March I4, I960, Page t Candy PASSOVER SPONGE CAKE PASSOVER PRUNE AND 7 eggs, separated APPLE DEEP DISH PIE 1 cup sugar IVans % cup cake meal 1 c. stewed prunes ,cup potato starch I c. apples (peeled & sliced) '/2 cup orange juice c. prune juice 2 tbsp. lemon juice i/ c. water pinch of salt 1/3 c. honey Beat egg whites with salt 1 tbsp. fat until almost stiff. Let mix- ture set for | 0 minutes. Make into several tong roils. Wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate over- night. Slice and bake on greased cookie sheet 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool for ]0 minutes and remove from pan. CHERRY- APPLESAUCE MOLD i pkg. cherry flavored gelatin 1 cup hot or boiling water (depending on gelatin box instructions) 1 cup applesauce Dissolve gelatin in water. Add applesauce and mix well. Pour into mold. Refrigerate at least 8 hours.
