Two JCC festivals become one What do you get when you combine the. family fun and games from the Roth Jewish Community Center of Greater Orlando's annual Family Festival with the culture and delicious food from its annual Israel Independence Day celebra- tion? You get one heck of a festival! That's what the JCC is planning for Sunday, April 21, when they will host Israel Independence Day: A Family Festival at Cranes Roost Park in Altamonte Springs, from 10 a.m. to 4p.m. "We figured that we plan two great events at the same location one in the fall and one in the spring," said Samantha Taylor, vol- unteer event co-chair. These two iconic events will be combined into one festival celebrating the best of Israel with a family- friendly atmosphere. Nass of Melbourne died on Tuesday, Feb, 19, 2013. She was 85 years old. Mrs. Nass was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on March 22, 1927 to the late Abraham and Rebecca Margolis Chodo- rov. She attended local area schools and earned hr asso- ciate of arts degree. During her working career she was a secretary for the New York City School System. In 1983, the family relocated to Merritt Island from Brooklyn. On Jan. 28, 1951, she married Law- rence Nass, to whom she was married for 37 years when he passed away in February 1988. Mrs. Nass is survived by her son, Dr. Mitchell (Gall)Nass of Merritt Island; her daugh- ter, Audrey (Dr. Jay) London of Melbourne; her brother, Dr. Burt (Norma) Chodorov of Merritt Island; and one grandson.
