JIODITH S. BECKER
Judith Becker, age 88,
of Longwood, passed away
on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017,
at Serenades at Longwood.
She was born on March
5, 1928, in Brooklyn, New
York, and was a daughter of
the late Samuel and Lillian
Rosenblum Bederson.
A homemaker,.she married
Stanley Becker, her husband
of nearly 48 years who survives
her, on March 2, 1969, in
Cincinnati. They returned
to the Orlando area in 1972
and were active members of
Temple Israel.
In addition to her husband,
she is survived by her
daughters, Jane (David)
Auspitz of Philadelphia and
Susan (Gordon) Arkin of
Maitland; and her son, Andrew
Landis of Simi Valley, Calif.
She was the grandmother
of Debra, Lisa, Kimberley,
Nathan, Zachary, Amanda,
Amy, Sam and Jordan; and
the great-grandmother
of Judah, Lilyan, Emma,
Emile, and Benjamin. She is
also survived by her sister,
Myrna (Stanley) Frank of
Hollywood, Fla.
A graveside service
was held at Temple Israel
Cemetery, Gotha, with
Rabbi Arnold Siegel of
Jewish Family Services
officiating. In memory of
Judith S. Becker, the family
requests contributions to
the Alzheimer's Association,
378 Center Pointe Circle,
Altamonte Springs 32701.

Estelle Braun, age 86, of
Winter Park, passed away on
Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, at
Florida Hospital-Winter Park.
Born in New York on Sept. 28,
1930, she was the daughter
of the late Sol and Claire
Goldberg Steiner.
A homemaker, she is
survived by her son, Andy
Braun (Ralph Fandetta)
of Winter Park; and her
daughters, Terri Pinchevsky
(Frank Saccente) of DeBary
and Sharon (Tim) Kochen
of Geneva, Fla. She was
the grandmother to Sandy
(Kathy) Pinchevsky, Rami
(Miriam) Pinchevsky, Joshua
Kochen, Justin Kochen, Lynn
Saccenteand FrankieSaccente
and great-grandmother of
Nolan, Colin Oliver, Alana,
Amaia, Sierra, Jay, Carson
and Kennedy.
A graveside funeral service

Cemetery, Gotha, with Rabbi

Carol Doris Sainker Low-
enstein died peacefully at
5:20 p.m. on Feb. 10, 2017, at
Cornerstone Hospice at Win-
chester Towers, Winter Park.
She was buried at Mount Sinai
Cemetery in Daytona Beach,
Florida on Feb. 12, 2017. Carol
was born in Flushing, New
York, on Oct. 8, 1935. She had
a twin sister, Sheila Sainker
Peacock who preceded her
in death.
Carol moved to Daytona
Beach, Florida, as a teenager
and attended the University
of Florida. In 1957, she met
and married her sweetheart,
Harry Lowenstein. They met
on a blind date on Valentine's
Day almost 60 years ago.
They lived in England
during the 1960s, and then
moved back to the states
in the 1970s. They owned
Goold's Department Store
in downtown Kissimmee,
Florida, and sold western
wear.
Carol was very active
in community affairs,
the Downtown Business
Association and Beautification
Committee. She was also
very active in creating
Congregation Shalom
Aleichem in Kissimmee.
Carol is survived by her
husband of 60 years, Harry
Lowenstein, and her children,
Berna Lowenstein (Dr.
Gregory Fitzgibbons), Karen
(James) Pridemore, and
David (Carlotta) Lowenstein;
nine grandchildren, Dwan,
Cameron, Tyler and Bailey
Pridemore, Breana (Brandon)
Davenport, Dillion and
Mallory Mickel, and Claire
and William Lowenstein; and
four great-grandchildren,
Zoey Pridemore and
Morgan, Brynn, and London
Davenport.
