Honored History of First U.S. Jewish G I VE A SHIR T! SHELBY'S T SHIRTS & DECALS Located on the patio at Springs Plaza 831-4230 Organization Precedes New Orlando The National Council of Jewish Women was only a year old as an organized body when it became the first Jewish women's group to establish Shabbat schools, pri- marily for slum children. The NC.JW went on rapidly to found vocational and indus- trial classes, manage "model" tenements, provide free baths for slum dwellers and much more. Are they being given the opportunity to learn Jewish values and meaning? We cannot give up the future. To our elderly? We are sitting on a time bomb in Central Florida. An explosion of elderly who will need our help. It is our challenge and our privilege to provide our elderly a full range of services. To our families? A soaring divorce rate, single parent families, and the culture shock of new surroundings. These are the challenges our community is being asked to meet. Troubled families who need Jewish answers. To our brothers? Israel Still a nation of pioneers, of men and women of vision. They must struggle with the most expensive peace in history. With a soaring inflation rate. It is our privilege to help. They pay the price, we accept the challenge. We can say 'YES' to all ... if you give. COMBINED JEWISH APPEAL P.O.
