Page 8, HERITAGE, Florida Jewish News, January 18. 1980 Institute for Jewish Life Second Semester to Open With New Courses New courses have been added as the Institute for Jewish Life plans its second semester, scheduled to open at the Congr. of Liberal Judaism on Mon., Jan. 21. Classes will be held at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. through March 24. The Institute is jointly spon- sored by the Congr. of Liberal Judaism, Congr. Ohev Shalom, Temple Israel, the Jewish Federation and the Jewish Community Center. The two new sessions include a course entitled "A Survey of Jewish Philosophy:" offering an overview of the content and meaning of Jewish philosophers through- out history, taught by Rabbi Chaim Roswaski. "Shabbat-- It's History, Meaning and Op- portunities" will be taught by David Kaufmann. "The Fine Points of the Book of T'Hillim (Psalms)" will be instructed by Rabbi Rudolph Adler. Continued from the first semester, Hebrew I will be taught by Rabbi Andy Hillman. Hebrew II will be taught by Moshe Elbaz. Registration of $7..50 (Seniors--S5 plus books) to cover the costs of teachers and brochures is due in advance. Books will be charged upon receipt. Students of last semester's introductory course of Arabic should contact Rabbi Hillman to voice interest in continuing the course this semester.
