Kelly To Southern Wiesenthal Seeking Survivors As War Crimes Witnesses Spedal to HERITAGE A project designed to help identify potential witnesses for the trials of Nazi war criminals in the U.S. has been launched by the Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies at Yeshiva Univ. in Los Angeles, according to Efraim Zuroff, the Center's director and project coordinator. The project is designed to compile a comprehensive registry of the Holocaust survivors living in this country, with upto- date information on their whereabouts and complete details on their wartime experiences. A special effort will be made to attain information on recent arrivals from the Soviet Union, a hereto inacces- sible source of information. Said Zuroff, "Most of the potential witnesses were killed dunng the Hold- caust and in the course of the past 34 years many others have passed away, leaving very few people to testify, a fact which senously jeopardizes the efforts to bring these cnminals to trial." The information gathered will be computerized and be made available to judicial authorities the world over. Suwivors are urged to provide the following information: !. Family name and your first name. 2. Date & place of birth (city and count). 3.
